| Marty Murray ~ 2008-2009 MMBC/Wild Rover Player of the Year |

Manchester Monarchs Booster Club members had the opportunity to
have their say as to what player would win the 2008-2009 MMBC/Wild
Rover Player of the Year Award. Members were ask to vote for the
player they felt earned and deserved this award.
In a close vote, Monarchs Captain Marty Murray was named the
2008-2009 MMBC/Wild Rover Player of the Year Award.
Marty received his award during the Monarchs on-ice award
presentation ceremony held prior to the April 11, 2009 home game
with the Portland Pirates.
MMBC President Marlene Lein and Vice President Noelle Clark
presented the 2008-2009 MMBC/Wild Rover Player of the Year Award
to Marty.
The award is made in the shape of the State of New Hampshire, with
the MMBC logo on the upper part of the award and below it the
inscription of “The MMBC honors Marty Murray as Player of the Year 2008-2009 in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the
Manchester Monarchs during the entire season”.
Along with the award, Marty received a $50 gift card to the Wild Rover Restaurant & Pub located at 21 Kosciuszko Street in
Manchester, NH. The Wild Rover has been the sponsor of this award since the MMBC was formed back in 2003. Thank you, Wild Rover,
for your continued support!!!
Previous recipients of the MMBC/Wild Rover Player of the Year Award were Pavel Rosa (2003-2004) , Mike Cammalleri (2004-2005), Petr
Kanko (2005-2006), Jason LaBarbera (2006-2007) and Brian Boyle (2007-2008).
